      Fun aromas of bubble gum and lambswool are joined by a complex fruit notes of Bosc pear, dusty apple and starfruit with a pinch of fresh cilantro. It stays bright and juicy through the finish of grapefruit and Granny Smith apple as this Chardonnay is a pleasing example of the style more Oregon winemakers are pursuing, a food-friendly approach similar to Pinot Gris.

      It’s fun from start to finish, carrying hints of cherry punch, smoky black currant, cola and mincemeat spices. There’s a good grip to the fine-grained tannins and abundant acidity akin to Montmorency cherry and pomegranate juice easily balances the 1.5% residual sugar. All those factors, including the low alcohol, combine to make it quite a quaffer that fits right along with sliders, pizza or hearty pasta.
