It’s October Harvest Time in Medford

It’s autumn in Oregon! Cooler temperatures, leaves turning colors and special events make this a fun time of year. Whether you live in Medford, just visiting or have family coming to town, you’re sure to find plenty to enjoy this month.

Fall Festivals

You’ll find plenty of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy in October with the numerous festivals. Whites Country Farm Harvest Festival is right here in Medford and runs every weekend in October. Come out to enjoy live music and food trucks, walk through the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin. Let the kids get their faces painted and enjoy bounce houses. Here are some other festivals you might want to check out:

  •         Harry & David Harvest Festival – Sat. Oct 12, live music, face painting for kids and beer and wine tastings for adults. No ticket needed, but canned food accepted as donations for the Teresa McCormick Center. Festival goes from 9AM to 9PM.
  •         Acorn Festival – Sat. Oct. 12 from 11 AM to 6PM, learn about acorns and how they have been used through the years and today. Watch a scarecrow contest and enjoy a potluck with this free event.
  •         Longsword Vineyard Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Chuckin Fundraiser – Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 and 13. Enjoy pumpkin painting, pumpkin chucking and wine tasting all weekend long. Listen to live music both days with food trucks and plenty of fun for all ages.

Wine and Dine

After enjoying a day out at the local festivals, you can spend an hour or two at the Regency Grill with local flavors. Try a charcuterie for two with meats and cheeses along with a baguette. Sample some beer-battered prawns or experience a Regency burger. The Regency Grill is proud to offer local meats and produce to tantalize your taste buds and to support the southern Oregon economy.

Relax with a glass of wine from a local winery or a beer or cocktail after your busy day.

When you stay at the Rogue Regency, you’re right in the middle of all the October fun. Get out and experience all that southern Oregon has to offer and come back here for a quiet dinner, a relaxing happy hour or a spa treatment to make your stay extra special.
