Headliner: Ngaio Bealum
As a comedian, musician, writer, actor, activist, juggler and publisher, Ngaio Bealum was born in San Francisco to hippie parents, leading to jokes about how he got his name. He has co-hosted Cannabis Planet and writes a column in Sacramento News & Review, answering questions from readers about marijuana and its politics. He also published West Coast Cannabis Magazine, and is perhaps, best known for hosting High Times comedy events. Ngaio is an unusually intelligent stand-up whose gut-busting comedy nevertheless reflects a pot lover’s perspective of the world. Also a talented rapper/musician, he has appeared on The Sarah Silverman Program and has recently enjoyed frequent guest appearances on Getting Doug With High hosted by fellow comedian Doug Benson.
Opener: Chris Moran
Chris Moran started comedy at legendary Giggles Comedy Club at the age of 16. In the years following Chris became one of the youngest working comics ever in the Pacific Northwest and became a regular at several clubs as well as many bars in the region. Moran’s style of humor can be summarized as “cheerful cynicism” with a focus on his life and the way he sees the world around him. He has worked with the likes of Theo Von, Ty Barnett, Brian Scolaro, Bret Ernst and Louie Anderson.
